Welcome to my blog. My name is Lesley Glenn....I was born Lesley Darnelle Kailani Keao on the island of Oahu. Born and raised Island girl. In 1990 while a flight attendant for Hawaiian Airlines I met the boy of my dreams on a blind date....and now almost 18 years later.....i still share his name. We have/are raising three amazing children, Jordan is 21, Justin is 16 and Jillian is 14. We live in a modest house of suburban nature in the Inland Empire of Corona, CA and currrently house three animals of quirky personalities: Penny, our chinese pug, Sidney, the ever complaining siamese cat and Meow Meow, the let me fall at your feet so you can trip over me, long haired calico.
I have been keeping this blog as a sort of journal for the past 4 years. Its has been a way for me to post whats been going on in the Glenn family and a great record and glimpse back into how our family has grown....
HOWEVER: life took a drastic change for me a year ago, and so I am reinventing my blog and embracing a new course in my life. The blog now is going to take on a new feel, and a new direction.
So let me give you a brief rundown of the things that have made me come full circle this past year:
Two and a half years ago I was diagnosed with the beginning stages of fiber myalgia.
Two years ago, I went back to school full time to finish my BS degree. (I finally graduated on July 31, 2009)
In the midst of this I worked full time as a state preschool teacher, and was actively running around being the mom of a competitive gymnast, and a high school football and baseball player.
I gave up my love for all things creative -
My marriage while good....suffered because of our busyness and lack of attentiveness to our relationship - and one year ago, it almost all came to an end.
This past year has been a year of REFLECTION!
August 4th is the marker of new beginnings, spiritual fullness. Its the day I turn 44 and am going to live out some of my dreams. One of these is this blog...
So welcome to the journey with me .... I hope you will stay connected.
my family, music that moves me, art of all mediums, poetry, quotes and classic literature. Spending time with my husband and being spontaneous. Watching my kids grow up before my eyes and some good laughter and the best ever lemonade.
